Temporary Systems

DIY Phones systems can also provide temporary systems. If you have an event running for a few days and require a telephone system with access to the outside world for the duration of the event, then DIY Phones can provide it. This service includes a telephone number so that people can call you.

Temporary systems are ideal for any situation where the system will need to be removed at the end. These include:- building sites, fairs, local /county shows, regattas etc. These systems are often used to enable security staff to keep in contact.

Pricing Policy

At DIY Phones we have a clear pricing structure for our telephone systems. We do not beleive in hiding the price of a telephone system to force you to call us. We also beleive that we have the right to make a reasonable profit but not an exhorbitant one.

The up to date prices of all our telephone system equipment are contained within our shop.

We also have a price calculator that you can use to workout the price of your telephone system. Assuming that you include all the items necessary, then the calculator will give you the price that you will actually pay.

Case Studies

Case 1

Company A are a group of 6 computer professionals who all work from home. They are all self-employed but needed to give the impression of a single firm.

We provided them with a telephone at each of their homes and a single land line number for all business calls. All the phones were linked so that they could speak to each other for free and transfer calls between each other. They can even have conferences without leaving their homes.

As far as their customers are concerned they all work in the same office and are on the same land line number.

Case 2

Company B is a small sales concern. They have one office and 10 staff.

We provided a new Telephone Systems for the office with 2 extensions at their directors homes. Calls to/from the directors are free because they are extensions on the telephone systems and the directors make all their calls out through the office BT lines.

The logging system ensures that their telephone systems are not abused and allows them to keep track of call costs.

Case 3

Company C is an accountants with 4 offices and 7 remote workers.

Each office received a complete telephone system. These were then linked so that all phones were extensions of all offices. This meant that they had free calls between their offices and if a client rang the wrong office they could transfer them to the right person in the right office. This also applies to the remote workers.

They use the free conferencing system for on-line training.

Case 4

Company D is a large manufacturer with 5 factories, 6 regional office and many remote workers.

Each site was provided with a complete telephone system. These were then linked so that all phones were extensions of all offices. This provided free calls between their offices and if a client rang the wrong office they could transfer them to the right person in the right office. This also applies to the remote workers.

Remote workers can carry their phone with them. When on site they simply plug it into the nearest broadband and it attaches as their extension at their base office telephone system. This gives them FREE calls from anywhere in the world.

The company also saves time/expense on travelling by using the conference systems provided free with each telephone system. The conferences are free to all employees including remote workers. Non company people can take part in a conference by dialing in and entering a pin code (the only cost is the cost of the call).

The logging system ensures that the telephone system is not abused by the remote workers and allows them to keep track of call costs.

Case 5

Company E is a building firm. They have a head office and many site offices.

Head office was provided with a telephone system as previously described.

They then rent a temporary telephone system from us for each building site. The temporary system links to the office system as a series of extension numbers and has its own telephone number. The site staff use a combination of wired and wireless phones.

BT Lines are not required. A mobile link is often used. This allows a system to move from site to site as required.

Any person at head office or on site can ring or transfer a call to, any other person on any site or at head office.
